I'm a Republican because...

...not everyone can be on welfare. Someone sent me a picture of an SUV with this as a bumper sticker. I sort of agree with it. Most Democrats say Republicans want poor innocent children to go hungy, homeless, and without medical care. The truth is I would agree to double to amount of money we spend on people at the poverty level. The catch is you can't GIVE it to them. The same as Republicans bribe the big business vote with tax cuts the Democrats bribe the poor vote with tax money.

Double or triple the tax dollars you spend on the poor, but build medical centers, education centers (books, computers, etc.), daycare centers, and parks and recreation centers for the kids to go to. The poorest neighborhoods usually have the worst houses so pay the people to work to improve and rebuild the houses and pay for the materials to do so. Look at all of the jobs this would create. A mother would have a daycare center to take her children too, get an education and on the job experience to be a nurse at the medical center to make a self supporting life for herself. They could have a life and neighborhood they could have pride in instead of a place where the best way to make money seems to be drugs. There's the old fish saying, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. We'd much rather give the fish away to keep them addicted to voting for that party.

For the first time since I've been an adult I won't bother to vote. It doesn't matter anymore who wins, they both just use my money to support their agenda. In the debates I kept hearing the term middle class, because that's really who decides the vote for the most part, the people who pay the most and benefit the least. It's pretty simple who I would vote for in this election. A candidate that says, "All of those people that aren't getting any benefit from the 1 trillion dollars we're spending over the housing mess, vote for me!" Only choices I see this elections are candidates that want to give money to the same people who put us in this mess.
